Me Tony, Michelle, and Dave met at 8am at Smales Farm car park. Grabbed a coffee each at Columbus Coffee, and hit the road.
Arrived at The Tauranga on the Waterfront motel at 11am.
Checked in, and headed to Queen Elizabeth Youth gym.
First game at 12 noon. The opposition looked like some rugby team from Mangere. We were losing by about 7 points with a minute to go, when Nigel our point guard hit 3 3-pointers in a row and tied the score with 5 seconds to play. They inbounded the ball and got a foul and made 1. So they won by 1 pt. Bugger. For the record I scored 4 points.
Second game vs Territorial Army, they were far too fit and ran us off our feet. Lost that by 20. I scored 6 points this time.
Third game we were up by 6 points in first half, when our star point guard Nigel went for a loose ball and injured his shoulder. He didn't play any more part. From then on we lost our way. Ended up losing by 10 or so. I scored zero.
So now it's back to motel for a shower. Then into town for a couple of quiet beers, and watch the All Blacks thrash Ireland.
Still good fun was had by all. And only one injury to Nigel. Hopefully that will heal itself in a week or so.

We played in the third/fourth playoff game against the Territorial Army team at 11am on Sunday. We were leading til around half-time. They pressured us full court and ran us around. I fouled out with 10 minutes to go, then Dave fouled out soon after. So with Nigel injured we had no subs left. We lost by quite a few.
Still good fun was had by all. And only one injury to Nigel. Hopefully that will heal itself in a week or so.
