Well, its April 2013, and here we are again. Another finals series, and another match-up between the New Zealand Breakers and the Perth Wildcats.
Teams finished 1 and 2 respectfully, after the regular season. Now they face off in the Australian NBL Grand Final series.
First blood was to the Skycity Breakers at their home venue (Vector Arena) in Auckland. Now it's over to Wildcats country, Perth Western Australia.
A mere 7 and a hour flight and 4 time zones away.
Game 2 is in the new, giant Perth Arena. It opened only a few months ago and holds around 13,500 people. Apparently it cost around $500 million. Lots of mining money out in Western Australia.
Edit: this was going to be a long, detailed story of our trip to Perth. But there was too much going on to write about it, and hey what goes on tour .... So to wrap it up ... we came, we saw, we conqured....
Here's me and Bryan holding the spoils of victory ...
